Dam tot Damloop

Dam tot Damloop (“Dam to Dam Run” in English) is an annual road running competition held in North Holland in the Netherlands. It is a Silver Label 10-mile race from Amsterdam to Zaandam. The event was first held as a fun run event in 1985 and elite runners were invited the following year, with world record holder Fernando Mamede and Dutch record holder Carla Beurskens taking the men’s and women’s titles. In the first five years of its running, Beurskens became a three-time winner of the race – an achievement since matched by Heléna Barócsi, Hellen Kimaiyo, Tegla Loroupe and Lornah Kiplagat.

Kenny Rogers and The First Edition

Kenny Rogers and The First Edition, sometimes billed as The First Edition, was an eclectic pop band whose styles ranged from rock and roll to R&B, folk, and country. Its core members were Kenny Rogers (lead vocals and bass guitar), Mickey Jones (drums and percussion) and Terry Williams (guitar and vocals). The band formed in 1967, with folk musician Mike Settle (guitar and backing vocals) and the operatically-trained Thelma Camacho (lead vocals) completing the lineup.

Michel Fugain

Michel Fugain (born 12 May 1942 in Grenoble, Isère) is a French singer and composer. Originally he released music along with his singers and dancers entitled “Le Big Bazar” but went for a more solo approach 1977. In 1967, he released his first album: “Je n’aurai pas le temps” (French: “I won’t have time”). The title track was later covered in English by John Rowles and was entitled “If I only had time”.
