Akshay Kumar Datta (also spelt Akshay Kumar Dutta) () (15 July 1820 – 18 May 1886) was born in Chupi in Purba Bardhaman. Son of Pitamber Dutta, he was one of the initiators of the Bengal Renaissance.

Akshay Kumar Jain (1915–1993) was an Indian independence activist, writer, journalist and the editor of Navbharat Times, a Hindi language daily owned by The Times Group. He was one of the founders of the National Union of Journalists (India) and held the chair of its reception committee when the organization was formed in 1972.

Akshay Kumar Sen was one of the lay disciples of Sri Ramakrishna, the 19th century Bengali mystic and saint. He was the author of the book Sri Ramkrishna Punthi, a long narrative poem on the life and teachings of one of the most illustrious figures of 19th-century India. After reading the work, Swami Vivekananda wrote from the States to a brother monk in India, “Give Akshaya a hundred thousand hearty embraces from me. Through his pen Sri Ramakrishna is manifesting himself. Blessed is Akshaya.”

Akshay Kumar (born Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia; 9 September 1967), is an Indian origin actor, producer, martial artist, stuntman and television personality, who works in Bollywood films, and currently holds Canadian citizenship. In a career spanning more than twenty five years, Kumar has appeared in over a hundred Hindi films and has won several awards including the National Film Award for Best Actor for his performance in “Rustom” and two Filmfare Awards.
