Dominic Thiem beats Alexander Zverev in five sets at US Open for first Grand Slam title

Dominic Thiem became the first player in the Open Era that began in 1968 to rally from two sets down and win a US Open final when he beat his friend, Alexander Zverev, 2-6 4-6 6-4 6-3 7-6 (6) in New York on Sunday. It hadn’t been done altogether since 1949.
